Travel Advisors mean the world to us.

We strive to assist Travel Advisors every step of the way, from assistance with sales inquiries to ensuring your client is prepared for their upcoming trip, we want to make sure selling Active Adventures & Austin Adventures products is seamless and gratifying. Here are some of the tools we provide to Travel Advisors who are registered with us.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I register my agency?

You can register your agency by completing the form at the top of this page. Once we receive your details, we’ll reach out with more information.

What commission do you pay?

We offer competitive commissions across all Active Adventures and Austin Adventures trips. Commissions vary depending on preferred or contractual agreements. Please get in touch to learn how much you can earn when booking with us.

Do you offer tools to help travel advisors sell your product?

Yes, we provide our travel advisors with in-depth training and support, as well as offer marketing collateral to help you promote our trips and destinations. You can access everything via our Travel Advisor Resource Center.

Advisor Trainings

We are happy to provide tailored in-house trainings to educate you and/or your agency on anything you’d like to know about us. We also offer monthly advisor webinars featuring trending destinations, in-house experts, new trips, and more!

Marketing Collateral

Our marketing team has images, ads, and videos available to help you promote trips and destinations on your own website, social platforms, and in email marketing.

How do I receive my commission?

Commission is paid out after your client departs for their trip. Please get in touch once the client has traveled to arrange your commission payment.

Do you schedule pre/post accommodation?

Adventures Tours are what we do best and for this reason, we focus solely on your client’s tour itself and do not schedule pre and post-trip accommodations. Rest assured you’ll receive helpful communications from our team about the trip – you just need to take care of getting your client to wherever the trip starts and any pre-trip accommodations they might require, and any onward travel plans once their trip ends with us.

Do you book flights?

We do not book flights, but we recommend working with our preferred travel partner, Fuzion Travel, who can help book your client’s domestic or international adventures.

What can clients expect when traveling with us?

Our tours are all-inclusive small group adventure vacations with all meals, accommodations, activities, guiding services, transportation, and permits included in the trip price. We offer various options in each itinerary to suit different tastes and abilities, so guests have the flexibility to take on activities at their own pace. Our guides will make sure your client has an experience that truly exceeds their expectations in some of the most incredible regions of the world.

How far in advance should I book?

The sooner the better! We recommend booking 6-12 months prior to your client’s departure. Popular trips and trips departing during busier times sell out quicker, so it’s best to book as soon as possible to avoid missing out.

What happens after I make a booking?

Once a booking has been made, the booking Travel Advisor will receive a confirmation email with instructions to log into our travel portal (referred to as our Travel Wallet). Once you have logged in, you’ll be able to access important documents including the full day-by-day trip itinerary and packing list to download and send to your client.

Please note we do not offer a client-facing travel portal currently.

When does the final payment need to be made?

The outstanding balance shown on your invoice (including any additional items) must be paid in full no later than 90 days (180 days for Africa trips) prior to the departure date of your client’s booked trip. For bookings made within 90 days prior to the departure date of your client’s booked trip (180 days for Africa trips), the full balance (including any additional items) is required within 48 hours of booking confirmation.

Please review our full booking policies here.

Do you sell direct to consumers or only work with travel advisors?

We sell both directly to consumers and work with travel advisors. Advisors are protected if your client calls us directly to book another adventure, we’ll pay you a commission for their booking. Our only requirements are that the client approves and that you take over the reservation within 30 days of the guest’s date of deposit.

Where can my clients find information about their trip?

As the booking Travel Advisor, you’ll have access to all documents the guest needs to prepare for their trip and will need to share that with them. If there is additional information you need, our customer service team can assist with your request.

Will I receive communications with more information before my client’s trip?

We send out periodic communications leading up to the departure date of your client’s trip. Our Customer Service Team will reach out to you directly within the first week of booking, around 4 months before your client’s trip, and again around two weeks before they depart to make sure your clients are all set and ready to go on their trip.

What are your booking conditions?

See our full booking conditions here.

Can you explain your Activity Levels to me?

We've done a lot of work translating our Activity Levels in hiking and biking distances & elevations, and kayaking time. This page should help you.
