Behind-the-scenes Team

As we continue to grow and evolve, occasionally roles become available in the office. We have a small team of hard working staff made up of sales, client services, marketing, accounts, IT and operations staff. We advertise these roles on SEEK and in local publications. Our head office is based in Queenstown, New Zealand. Our recruitment and selection process involves an assessment of different factors, including a very thorough interview, practical testing, written assessments and a trial in the office.

If you’re interested in working for Active Adventures then please keep an eye out on SEEK or local publications or feel free to get in touch for any current vacancies: amanda@activeadventures.com. They are fairly few and far between; our staff have a great habit of sticking around!

    Condor 2018

This IS the trip of a lifetime! The itinerary is excellent, including the highlights of Patagonia and more! Trip logistics are well planned and expertly executed. Our guide, Arturo was one step ahead at all times and clearly has developed relationships with all hotels, refugios, restaurants and especially our local guides, creating incredible, seamless travel. The local guides, Cem (Jim) on the W Trek, Christian in El Chaltan, our drivers and specific activity guides were all excellent and willing to share their knowledge and love for their countries. This trip was FUN, Arturo is fun and all the new friends we met on our trip were fun!!!

Everest Base Camp, Sept - Oct 2017

Great trip. Elder and Arjun are so great. They make an awesome team and really care about the people on the trip and the people working with them. The Himalayas are too hard to describe and pictures do not do them justice. There is no scale to compare them to when talking about them. You simply have to see it. Oh, Ama Dablam is magnificent. There were times when the scenery literally brought tears to my eyes. In a good way. Kathmandu is an experience for sure, but have mixed emotions about the city itself.

    2017 Iguana Trip

The Peru portion of the trip with Erick was spectacular. Erick's attention to detail, compassion for each individual on the trip and genuine love for Peru made this portion of the trip absolutely amazing.

    Melissa's Weka Adventure

I knew from pictures taken by family that New Zealand is a beautiful place but the beauty is much deeper than the eye can see. Everyone we came in contact with was wonderful and I can't think of enough superlatives to describe our guides, Nick and Elder. The trip was above our expectations. The biking was varied and interesting and the hikes worth every step. The food was too good and we enjoyed the variation in accommodations. We would go back and do it again.

    Kauri

I combined the Kauri trip, last 5 days, with the Tui trip on the South Island. I did not have enough time to do the full 11-day trip. I am really happy with my decision to do the last 5 days. Crossing the Tongariro Alpine Crossing was an amazing experience! I loved everything about this trip... Andy and Jo were absolutely awesome!
