As a solo traveler, I rely on a trusted company that can get me safely from point A to B, especially when I’m unfamiliar with the area. At the same time, I expect them to provide excellent customer service (addressing questions/concerns, employing outgoing/knowledgeable guides, etc.). After my third trip with Active Adventures, I feel safe to assume that they check all of these boxes off for me!

I had wanted to hike to Everest for 20 years. The trip was an absolute adventure and fulfilled my dream. The guides were awesome and paid such good attention and made sure we were taken care of. Cannot recommend this trip highly enough.

What an experience!! I’m an avid traveler & have seen some of the most beautiful places in the world. I now have a favorite, the Himalayas. What a fabulous place! I loved the hike, the people, the guides, the villages & the challenge. The entire group made it to Base Camp solely due to the effort & pampering of our guides. The guides were always there for us, making sure we were comfortable, eating, drinking, & sleeping. Every day was a new experience in beauty & challenges. Ive been home for 6 months & still think about the experience daily. It was life changing for many reasons. Active Adventures took such good care of us, we’ve already booked our next trip to Patagonia.

The Himalayas have been a place I’ve wanted to visit for most of my 60 plus years on this earth, and of course see Mount Everest In person. This trip did not disappoint!!!!
Actually that last statement was not 100% correct.. The only thing I wish I could change is the technology that would allow a camera to capture the true essence and surreal experience of what I saw with my own two eyes.. I think I took approximately 2000 pictures trying to capture that incredible beauty and essence..haha
The good part is, my memories of this trip are permanent..
Active Adventures did an amazing job putting this whole epic trek together.. The pace was perfect for me as I am a slower steady but consistent climber..I was never pushed beyond my abilities.
In the three weeks so I was out there I cannot recall one problem that popped up.. our head guide and our local sherpa guides were very professional, courteous and accommodating.. I’m definitely recommending active aventures to a couple close friends of mine who are considering doing this trek

EBC Trekking will be remembered and cherished for a lifetime!
Active Adventures did a wonderful job from the planning stage of the trip to the very last day of the trip. The trip was well planned and organized to the very last detail.
Himalayas was much more than what I imagined to be. The magnificence of the mountain, the ruggedness, the beauty, and the hard working people and the animals were all very impressive. Although the accommodations were very basic and the thin air made the hiking very challenging, the amazing, beautiful mountain and the people I traveled with made it all worthwhile. The team that I traveled with were very supportive, caring, and pleasant to be with. The Active people were there for us at every step of the way. They were efficient, prompt, caring and professional. I am thankful and grateful for all my team members. Without their support I would have never reached the summit! Thank you, everyone! I will always remember you all!

To speak about the scenery, the remarkable beauty, and the incredible and overwhelming feelings of smallness in a giant world is easy when talking about our trip to EBC. To exhaust my vocabulary using hyperbole would be entirely appropriate when describing the physical experience of being in a place that very few people in this world ever get to see. While it was definitely a time that no one could ever forget for the "whats", the "wheres", and the "hows", what made this trip was the "who." Guides can simply bring you from one point to another with relative ease and efficiency. They can make sure that you are equipped and given adequate direction, but with Koru, Amrit, and Ram, there was a sense of togetherness, of oneness, and a shared experience that was felt throughout. I can have all of the pictures, all of the video; I can share stories, reminisce with the friends I went with, and attempt to describe all that I saw and felt with those who weren't there. What I can't do is describe the feeling of this shared experience, the oneness with those who had a love for the Himalayas, and the indisputable drive to personally shape the experience for each person. We all felt the power of where we were. I don't know how it was done, but Koru, Amrit, and Ram established an environment that all felt trust in each other, faith in our guides, and made it possible for all of us to truly have that experience of a lifetime. I no longer have a bucket list, I have an insatiable desire to do all of it.

Other than our acclimatization days this trek is quite hard to complete because of the altitude and cold. However I really couldn't find anything to complain about and wouldn't change a thing My thank to KD and Amrat and Rom and the other porters. I rally have a sense of achievement and just so happy to have competed and completed the challenge. So thankful to have done it with the Active Adventures team.

You know that you've had an awesome trip when (a) you can't wipe the smile off your face while you're on the trip, (b) as soon as you get home you start looking for more trips to take with Active Adventures, or (c) the thing you were least impressed about on your Everest Base Camp Hike was actually seeing Mt. Everest? How about (d), all of the above?! This is my second Active Trip, it was just as well run and fun as the first, and will not be my last!
