Volcano and Jungle Adventure - excerpt from magazine below:
Ecuador is a magnificent little country - long one of South America's best (but less known) adventure spots! It has pristine Pacific coast, Andean highland, a capital so beautiful it was named the world's first heritage site, and Amazonian jungle. And this one-week extravaganza packs in many of the country's highlights. You will bike down one of Ecuador's most iconic Andean mountains - Cotopaxi - and trek in the rainforest, visit an indigenous family and soak in natural hot springs. Explore the Valley of the Volcanoes and the colonial but cosmopolitan capital Quito, where you will be stunned by the beauty of it all.

New Zealand Biking Adventure - 'Weka'
The land of mysticism and rugged rolling hills. New Zealand's incredible South Island is one of the adventure capitals of the world, and this two-week tour explores it all in fitting style. You will traverse the island north to south, taking in some of its best cycling and hiking routes - including the West Coast Wilderness Trail and Franz Josef Glacier. You'll have time to meander around the world adventure capital of Queenstown, as well as cruise around Milford Sound. And with a support vehicle along route you can bike as little or as much as you want.

One of the best trips I've been on.

Ken and Elder were such great guides and the passion they displayed was fantastic.

    Outstanding Trip!!

This trip was especially great because of our guides, Ben and Emma. I cannot say enough good things about those two. They were extremely patient, energetic, and very sincere.
The trip has a wide variety of activities that allowed us to see and experience most of the South Island, keeping us away from the more congested tourist hangouts. I really felt like we saw the true South Island and not just the tourist trap attractions.
The only reason I have not given it a 5 star rating is because my wife and I are very active and do very challenging trips that most people would never want to take on. It was not a trip of a lifetime for me only because of that. Take "trip of a lifetime" away from the 5 stars and just have excellent and I would mark that. Excellent trip!!!!

    Whoa! What an incredible trip!

There aren't any words that could properly prepare you for what is in store. Patagonia was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!

Cynthia was an amazing guide, she took such good care of us! She routinely went above and beyond to ensure we were safe, happy, healthy and well fed. What a gem she was! And on top of being great at her job, she's just an awesome person, fun, smart, flexible, just the kind of person you want touring you around the edge of the earth for 2 weeks.

The trip itself was absolutely breathtaking. No photo could do that place justice. The W trail was an amazing hike full of ever changing views (and lots of wind!). Definitely, pay the extra to do the Grey Glacier hike! It was a trip highlight!

Get ready to take your jacket on and off more in one day than you would over the course of a month back home :) Everything they say about the weather is true. You are at the mercy of the elements, but for the most part, we lucked out with weather (and when we didn't Cynthia always had a plan B).

I'm so glad we did this! We will definitely be touring with Active again. Those folks do a stellar job of setting you up for an exciting adventure.

    Stunning

Stunning is the first word that comes to mind. This was my 4th trip with Active and as usual it was 5 stars across the board. When I first heard about the trip I called Phil to learn more. He told me the Dolomites were the most stunning, picture perfect landscape he's seen and he wasn't exaggerating. I've never said WOW so many times before. Every turn would lead to a breathtaking scene.
The trip was managed very well as are all Active trips. The guides were great, within days feeling like long time friends. The food and accommodations were excellent, luxury mountain hiking with 5 course meals, electricity and plumbing to be found at every stop!
The Dolomites are a must visit and I can't think of a better group to do it with than Active Adventures. Looking forward to my next adventure with them.
