Discover the home of the highest mountains and the friendliest locals in the world on our guided Nepal tours
Geographically compact, the breathtaking mountain views and rich culture make Nepal feel much more extensive. It’s a place where white peaks reach the sky, yaks carry necessities to tiny villages, and monks meditate in monasteries deep in the mountains.
Our Nepal tours focus on trekking to explore the world’s most dramatic landscapes while also stopping by important temples and bustling markets. Whether lacing up your hiking boots for another day on the trail or strolling through a medieval city square in Kathmandu, Nepal is worth the many lay-overs it might take to get there.

What Our Guests Say About Their Nepal Adventures
When is the Best Time to Visit Nepal?
Where you plan to go may determine the best time to visit Nepal. With the highest mountains in the world, elevation and rain shadows play a big part in the climate of each area. Luckily you can find a trek suitable for almost anytime of the year.
For trekking to the Everest Base camp or Annapurna Trek, consider visiting in the winter and spring months of mid-January to mid-May, or autumn from mid-September to mid-November. Any of the lower elevation areas can be hiked in pre-winter months from mid-November to mid-January.
Trekking in Nepal
Nepal is a trekker’s paradise with access to the Himalayan mountains, sacred sites, and charming villages where you can watch the sunset with a warm slice of pie. Mountain “teahouse” lodges bring a new comfort level as you head into the mountains and disconnect from the outside world. With knowledgeable guides, endless views, and welcoming culture, trekking in Nepal is simply unforgettable.
Everest Base Camp Trek
Mount Everest has crossed the mind of every adventurer we know, and visiting the Everest Base Camp is an impactful way to knock it off your bucket list. On the Everest Base Camp Trek, you will hike through friendly Sherpa villages and past the world’s highest marketplace. Seeing the tallest mountain in the world for the first time, finally coming into camp, and celebrating at high altitudes will be something you’ll never forget.
Annapurna Base Camp Trek
What’s better than 360-degree views of mountains in the Himalayas at the Annapurna Base Camp and Machapuchare (Fish Tail)? Not much, but perhaps the journey to get there. On the Annapurna Base Camp Trek, you’ll make your way through a scenic glacial gorge, tiny Gurung settlements, and experience the deafening silence of the mesmerizing amphitheater.
Best Places to Visit in Nepal
Embark on an Adventure to Everest
The trek to Everest starts above the treeline, and the staggering alpine vistas only increase as you get closer to the world’s highest peak. Although challenging, the journey is also delightful as you utilize acclimatization downtime to explore villages along the way and embrace Sherpa culture. Reaching Everest Base Camp is an accomplishment worth celebrating, and getting to explore Everest along the way is all bonus!
Trekking Annapurna
With jaw-dropping mountain vistas and landscapes, it’s surprising that the Annapurna region is still one of the quieter trails in Nepal. The sanctuary you pass through includes lush meadows, ancient jungles, and a greater connection to local culture. Challenging at times with high altitude and unpredictable weather, most people would say Annapurna is well worth the effort with a little taste of everything Nepal offers.
Discover Kathmandu Valley
Located in a bowl-shaped valley surrounded by the Himalayan mountains, the Kathmandu Valley has a little bit of everything, including Nepal’s capital city with the same name. Kathmandu is a crossroads between China, India, and Europe. You can explore influences in everything from the cuisine to the religion while taking on a unique charm of its own. Not interested in the hustle and bustle? It’s easy to explore areas outside the city from small villages, terraced fields, and national parks with subtropical to temperate environments. Discover this incredible region on the Kathmandu Valley & Bhutan Adventure.

FAQs About Visiting Nepal
The best time to visit Nepal is between September and December, festival season! The rains have eased off significantly, and autumn (mid-September to mid-November) is a time for celebration in the predominantly Hindu country of Nepal, as well as having the best day time temperatures. Spring (mid-March to mid-May) in Nepal is also a great time to travel there , and is characterized by the striking colors of blooming rhododendrons in the valleys, gardens, and hills.
Yes! People in Nepal have a strong belief guests are equal to God, so all visitors can expect the warmest of welcomes. This also means Nepal is very safe place to travel and the crime rate is very low. The only real concern to a traveler is petty theft, so we recommend taking the same common sense precautions you would in any other city. Don't bring valuable things with you unless necessary for your trip. Keep your money and other valuables in a money belt or pouch under your clothes. Lock your bags and luggage and leave valuable items you don’t need for the day (e.g. passports and credit cards) in the hotel safe.
Safety is a priority on all our trips, though understandably it's a question we field more frequently when it comes to the Himalaya region. Here are some of the key steps we've taken to ensure your safety whilst trekking in this incredible region:
- We select experienced Nepali guides who've already completed comprehensive training and have seasons under their belt.
- Our guides work as a team alongside Nepali porters, ensuring an excellent mix of maturity, leadership and local knowledge.
- We limit group sizes to 10-12 to ensure a high guide to guest ratio.
- In addition to Outdoors First Aid training, our guides are also skilled to identify symptoms of high altitude cerebral edema (HACE) and high altitude pulmonary edema (HAPE). In addition to the medication you may be carrying with you, we also have access to oxygen and a Portable Altitude Chamber (PAC) at certain parts of the trail.
- We do our very best to match our travelers to the appropriate trips. Our aim is to inspire and challenge you, so finding that balance of effort vs reward is at the heart of what we do. On trips to the Himalaya, before you even arrive we will have asked you a series of questions to determine if this trip is appropriate, as well as providing comprehensive gear lists and training plans.
- Our guides carry satellite phones.
- We provide a high quality super-down jacket, 4 season sleeping bag and hiking poles free of charge, to ensure all trekkers have the appropriate essential equipment. These are selectable through our online booking journey.
