This was probably one of the most amazing experiences of my life. It was totally worth the money and would definitely do it again. The guides were awesome, very knowledgeable and helpful. The people in France, Switzerland and Italy were all so nice and hospitable. And the hikes were the perfect amount of hard but exhilarating at the same time and the scenery just could not be described appropriately. You have to see it yourself. And what better way can you knock 3 different countries off your bucket list. Great, great trip. Oh and don't get me started on the amazing food. So good!

Overall the trip was very good and Emma from Active adventures was excellent. The French guides tended to be a bit standoffish and did not socialize easily although 11 days together eventually wore some of the edges off. Being the only single person was a little odd but I did enjoy the single rooms. One of the other guests was a little passive aggressive with me but this was nothing that the group leaders could do anything about. The lead guide Katarina did cause me to have to spend an additional 65 Euros to get another covid test from a pharmacy when I reported a head cold and had already taken a test and been negative. This was handled by Katarina in an abrupt and uninformed manner that was , I suspect, more about asserting her leadership over Emma and the others than it was about any sort of health or safety concerns. I was initially bothered by this. But as I say, a few spectacular long hikes smoothed this all over. I hope this doesn’t seem too picayune. Overall, the trip was great.

This trip wasn't what I expected. Having undertaken the The Dolomites Adventure the previous year, I imagined I'd have the same experience overall on the Tour du Mont Blanc Adventure. In actuality, it was quite different. The hiking was far more challenging and sometimes an honest slog. The food had 'interesting' ups (supremely delicious) and downs (meh). Sleep required a thick blanket of white noise to cover 'distractions'.
But this isn't a negative review... quite the opposite.
I enjoyed the test to my mental and physical states. Undertaking difficult hikes successively, sometimes eating food I didn't think was very good and not getting enough rest due to circumstances beyond my control... it all reinforced my opinion of my adaptability and physical toughness. Good and bad together, I enjoyed every minute of it.
In closing, the guides have my total admiration. They were friendly, informative and helpful. I look forward to booking a trip to Annapurna Basecamp or Everest Basecamp in the near future.
