Chi received a Bachelor’s degree in Tourism from the University and Banking Academy in 1999. She has been an independent tour leader in Vietnam since 1995. Chi has been taking group tours throughout Vietnam and Indochina areas on many different types of tours, such as cycling, classic, and yoga. She really loves her job as a tour guide because she is able to meet so many unique people every day, which is the most fascinating part of her life. Chi loves to be in touch with human and natural life!!!  

What’s your favorite vacation destination(s)?

I love to travel to any new places that I can. My favorite destination is the beach and mountain.

What is your favorite historical site, castle, museum, etc.…?

My favorite sites are Hue city (a final feudal city in Vietnam); The Munch museum (Oslo); Vancouver and White Horse cities (Canada); HoiAn, an ancient town (where river and sea meet in Vietnam), Chiang Mai (Thai Lan); Phu Quoc Island (Vietnam).

What is your favorite hike?

I love hiking in the forest, highland, and mountains.

What is your favorite bike ride?

I like mountain biking.

What is your favorite Austin Adventures trip?

Sport and Culture tours.

Favorite Movie?

History movies (the Vietnam war-Kent Burn), Perfect Spy, James Bond 007 movies, Cards on the Table.

Favorite Book?

History books, War and Peace by Lev Nikolayevich Tolstoy, and romantic novels like Gone with the Wind.

Favorite Song?

Stronger (Kelly Clarkson); The Sounds of Silence (Disturbed); Love Story (Tailor Swift) and Vietnamese Folk songs with Flute relic.

When did you first catch the travel bug?

When I was 5 years old, my dad took me to the beach on a family holiday. At 5 am he woke me up and told me we should go to see the sun rise above the horizon. It was such a unique experience that has followed me my whole life and gave me the drive to always be traveling.

What are your favorite outdoor activities?

My favorite outdoor activities are kayaking, swimming, climbing, and picnics.

What are your hobbies?

My hobbies include listening to music, traveling, reading, and meeting people.
