New Zealand Honeymoon Adventure Tours & Packages

honeymoon

Couples ask us all the time if our trips are right for a New Zealand Honeymoon Package. Our reply? "Yes, absolutely! If you're keen to spice things up with a little adventure and see the real New Zealand, not from the coach windows, then yes, you should join one of our trips".

Not just another beach resort honeymoon!

With our small groups we visit extraordinary corners of New Zealand, places you won't see if you travel here by yourself. Sure, you'll have time to relax and 'do nothing', but we reckon if you really want to return home feeling rejuvenated, with shared memories that'll bond you for life, then you have to embrace the adventure! Whether you're an enthusiastic hiker, keen to take things a little easier or have less time than usual, we've got a trip that'll work just perfect.

We take the hassle out.

Let's face it. You've just spent countless hours organizing your wedding, so the last thing you want to do is organise your honeymoon, right? But you want to sleep at night knowing that once you're on that plane everything is set and you'll land at your destination ready for a 'trip of a lifetime'. Once you're booked on an Active Adventures New Zealand vacation you can relax and start dreaming about your ultimate honeymoon. We'll help out by recommending what gear to bring with you, and share some ideas if you've got a bit of free time up your sleeve. Our trip fares include pretty much everything, so once we pick you up at the airport, you'll be able to relax and enjoy the moment together.

Flexible, all inclusive trips with small groups of like-minded people.

We'll make sure to help you find the right balance between enjoying time with your new found Active friends and spending quality time with your spouse. You might want to hike alone for a couple of hours, visit a winery during your free day in Queenstown, or share a romantic meal out. Our trips are designed to be flexible and all these things are easily organised.

If you have something special in mind, just give us a call and we'll have a chat about how we can make that work. You won't believe some of the things we've sorted for honeymooners in the past - let's see if you can top it!

Help organising wedding gift registries.

Setting up a wedding gift registry is a fantastic way to achieve your dream honeymoon and make it easier for your friends and family to help you on that journey. We'll give you some advice on the best way to get that process started.

Perfect Honeymoon

“My husband and I had such a great time on the Rimu trip. I truly believe we saw all of the highlights of the South Island, and because our group was so small we were able to sneak in a few other stops too. Our tour leaders were top notch. Andrew (lead guide) gave us such a rich history of New Zealand that when we were on our own for another week after the trip, we were telling other people about the things we learned. Mel is such a fantastic cook, I felt like we were treated with restaurant-worthy meals every night she cooked! Definitely recommending to others and will also look into other places Active Adventures goes...”

South Island trip of a lifetime

An absolutely awesome adventure with fantastic guides Vanessa and Tory. Experiencing parts of the great tramps in New Zealand of Kepler, Routeburn, Mueller Hut, Inland pack track at Punakaiki and Angelus Hut are a great introduction to tramping in NZ. I will definitely be back to complete some of the tramps. The Angelus hut hike was one of the hardest I have done (I hike regularly in Western Australia) and I loved every second of it. I would do the Angelus hut Nelson lakes hike again in a heart beat. The cycle along the Hawea river was stunning. Every day was a highlight of the trip.

We had a great time. New Zealand is beautiful and our tour guides, Koru and Jess, showed it to us to perfection. Great hikes, terrific food, wonderful companions and ideal locations.

    Excellent Trip

If you like outdoor activities this is your dream trip. The itinerary is very well planned. The scenery and landscapes are beautiful. Our guides Tia and Alex are fabulous. They are youthful, caring, knowledgeable, and extremely professional. Their hardwork made the entire trip smooth and enjoyable. Everyday is packed with interesting and exciting outdoor activities: multi-day hiking in Nelson Lake NP, kayaking in Milford Sound, biking along the shore of Wanaka Lake, and day hiking the Routeburn, Kepler, Sealy Tarns, Hooker Valley and many other beautiful short tracks in various NPs of the South Island. The group mates are very friendly and fun and the small group size made it easy to socialize. In addition, the food is healthy and very delicious. Thanks to every member of the group, in particular our great guides Tia and Alex, it is your care, warmth, encouragement, and tolerance that made this trip truly unforgettable.

Best family trip ever. The South Island of New Zealand is one of the most spectacular places on the planet and the Rimu trip takes you to all the highlights. Our group hit the jackpot with Koru and Ash. They were fabulous. This trip gets my highest recommendation all around.

Rimu - Awesome South Island trip!

This trip is really a great way to experience the true beauty of the South Island. We hiked in beautiful areas with spectacular views, biked the Te Araroa track and sea kayaked in Milford Sound and in the Okarito Lagoon. Our guides, Ben and Emma, were absolutely great! They were cheerful, caring and attentive to our needs. They kept us well fed all along the trip even while hiking in remote areas with minimal cooking facilities. Accommodations were great and representative of the visited area. Thanks to one of our travel companions, we had magnificent weather for the trip duration… we cannot have asked for better temperatures.
