To reserve your trip or for any additional information, contact us to speak to your Personal Adventure Consultant, email us at info@activeadventures.com, or book securely online. Once we receive your deposit and your booking is confirmed, you’ll receive email confirmation along with all your trip details, including arrival and departure information, a recommended packing list, and travel insurance recommendations for peace of mind, so you can relax and enjoy looking forward to your adventure.
Your Personal Adventure Consultant is available to assist you throughout the booking process and will reach out to you before your trip to ensure you have everything you need, answer any questions, and provide expert guidance. Whether you prefer a scheduled call or quick on-the-spot support, the choice is yours and we're here to help—so you can focus on the adventure ahead.
The advertised trip price is per person, based on two people sharing a room (double occupancy). Included in your trip price are all accommodations, all transportation during your trip, standard bikes and other equipment, expert guides, entrance fees and experiences, most meals and all snacks as detailed in your itinerary. Travel to the starting point and from the ending point of your trip, as well as any entry requirements (such as valid passports, visas, or vaccinations), are your responsibility.
1. Share with a fellow solo traveler at no extra cost: We’ll do our best to match you with another solo traveler of the same gender, and if that’s not possible, you’ll still get your own room — at no additional charge.

2. Enjoy a private, single occupancy room wherever possible, for an additional charge of approximately 25% of the trip cost (depending on your chosen trip). Visit the trip page on our website or call for details. Some trips don’t have single rooms on some nights, in which case the single supplement is less.
Travel plans can often be spontaneous, so we welcome your booking at any time. If you book after the usual final payment due date, we require full payment when you book so we can immediately request your accommodations with our partners. If we can’t secure your accommodations, we’ll refund you in full. We will keep you fully informed every step of the way as we work to get you on your trip.
For your peace of mind and personal safety, comprehensive travel insurance is strongly recommended for all our trips and is mandatory for trips in the Himalayas, Africa, and South America to cover emergency medical, evacuation, and repatriation. We recommend that you purchase your policy as soon as you book; visit our Travel Insurance page on our website, which outlines the requirements in more detail along with policy recommendations, or call us for details. For mandatory insurance destinations, you’re required to provide your policy information to us prior to your trip, or we may be forced to cancel your booking (in which case Cancellation Fees will apply).
We highly recommend that you purchase insurance, as sometimes the unexpected happens. We can’t make any exceptions to our Cancellation Policy (detailed below), even for personal emergencies, and we can’t provide refunds for late arrivals or early departures.
We know how exciting it is to plan your adventure, and we’re committed to making it happen. In rare cases, if a trip does not meet the minimum number of guests required to operate, we may need to cancel. Our team actively monitors bookings and will notify you as soon as possible if your departure is affected. If this happens, you’ll have the option to transfer to another adventure or date with any of our three brands (Active Adventures, Austin Adventures, or Discovery Bicycle Tours), or receive a full refund of your trip cost.
If we are forced to cancel a trip due to conditions or events beyond our control, including, but not limited to, third party failure, natural events, pandemics, terrorism, or political instability, we will transfer your booking to an alternative departure or trip or offer you a credit.
Any costs you incur due to a canceled or postponed trip — whether by you or by us — are your responsibility. That’s why we strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance.

Book with a non-refundable full payment and enjoy 10% off. This option is available for trips departing at least 120 days from your booking date. Please note that bookings made with this option are non-refundable and cannot be changed. This offer cannot be combined with any other promotions. We highly recommend purchasing Cancel For Any Reason (CFAR) insurance (most policies require you to purchase CFAR within 14 days of booking for coverage to be valid). Use promo code PIF10 when booking online to claim your savings.

If your payment isn't received by your due date, we may cancel your reservation and cancellation fees will apply. All prices are subject to reasonable change.

Any credits or refunds will be less any non-refundable expenses we’ve incurred. If your booking is changed or transferred, for any reason, the Terms and Conditions and pricing in effect on the date your new booking is made will apply. Loyalty discounts (Adventure+, Do it Again) will continue to apply; promotional discounts applicable at the time of your original booking won’t apply.
You can use your lifetime deposit or credit towards any payment (deposit, final payment, tour extras) at any time with any of our three sister brands (Active Adventures, Austin Adventures, Discovery Bicycle Tours). You can also transfer your credit to any one person nominated by you, providing it’s for a new booking. Deposits and credits are valid for life.
By completing the booking form and accepting these Terms and Conditions, you agree on behalf of yourself, and all others named on your booking, and you confirm that you are authorized to accept these conditions on their behalf. You also confirm that those named on your booking agree to their booking information being visible to the other guests on your booking in our secure online “My Account”.
All guests must individually agree to the Participation Agreement and Release of Liability. This link is for your information only – you will be individually prompted to accept these terms prior to payment. All policies are subject to change.
