Pictures speak a thousand words and we’ve got plenty of inspiring photos courtesy of our guests who travel with us and our guides who live and breath life on the road; under the blue skies and amongst New Zealand’s pristine nature.
Our Ultimate North Island Adventure ‘Kauri’ trip is 11 days (but if you’re really short on time, you can opt for the first or last 5 days) and it’s a really unique journey that showcases the North Islands’ wonderful flora. Our advice to anyone considering a trip down under is to allow time to visit both islands as they offer drastically different scenery and cultural experiences. When thinking about New Zealand many people picture that quintessential South Island landscape with the jagged alpine peaks, topped with snow, the rolling hills and the sheep – and that’s fair enough because it’s stunning. But there are so many facets to New Zealand, like the warm, crystal clear beaches of the Far North, the gigantic Kauri forests, the cone shaped volcanoes and the rich, green pastures.
Hopefully this photo diary inspires you to explore both islands next time you’re down here!
Definitely worth adding on to the South Island trip 🙂
I did both the Rimu and the Kauri and I thought they were both amazing! New Zealand is all around a beautiful place, but the scenery that you get in the North Island is distinctive from that of the South. I think it is definitely worthwhile to do both trips (either adding the 5 day trip or the 11 day trip like I did). The Kauri trip has more culturally activities and has less intense hikes than that of the Rimu trip. That being said, the hikes can still be challenging if you decide to push yourself. I am so glad that I did both trips because it gave me a picture of New Zealand as a whole. Additionally, Nat and Andrew were amazing guides! I have no complaints about anything and would recommend this trip to everyone. – Lauren Brown, December 2014″
