Andrew Prill

New Zealand Guide

Andrew is a Kiwi lad from Howick. Like many Kiwi blokes he's a keen surfer, snowboarder and swimmer and he's travelled the world. You'll be happy to know that he's guided over 1100 people all over Europe, Russia and Scandinavia and he hasn't lost a single one! If you're lucky enough to have Andrew as your lead guide when you visit us down here, be sure to ask him about his experience hiking the Weavers Trail to Machu Picchu or better-yet, his adventure hitch-hiking across the United States.

Andrew's favourite quote: "There he goes, one of God's own prototypes. Some kind of high-powered mutant never considered for mass production. Too weird to live, too rare to die." - Hunter S. Thompson

Testimonials

  • “Andy was amazing. Very knowledgable. Really made the trip enjoyable and seemed to truly care about each guest. After I became ill on the trip, he helped me find a doctor. Great guide!!!”

  • Andy was FANTASTIC. So knowledgable, kind and attentive to details. I loved his ability to really "see" the nature around us, and how he paid such close attention to it. He was so calm and confident, and also very kind. He never made anyone feel like they should be doing anything different than what they wanted to do. His passion for NZ was infectious.
Jeanne Noe (Chapel Hill, North Carolina, United States) Tui Jan 1 2017
  • “Andy was one of the best guides I've every had. His knowledge of New Zealand human and natural history was amazing, and much appreciated. He was incredibly patient with a couple of forgetful people. He and Clara worked very well together. Always very professional. Great sense of humor..”
