New Zealand Guide
Gary was born in Christchurch, grew up in Twizel and moved back to Christchurch in his adult years. His languages include English, and gobbledygook! When he’s not out in the mountains with our awesome Active travellers he’s enjoying a good game of squash, mountain biking, hiking or cooking. Camping and hiking is in his blood, as far as he can remember he’s been out and about on adventures with his family and friends.
Before joining the Active family, Gary was a catering chef and would often serve events from 10 to 200 or more people! This also lead him to one of his unique talents – he’s well known for his uncanny ability to create amazing dishes out of leftovers, and food that others deem to be rubbish.
